Threads of Freedom
Threads of Freedom's mission is to transform the significance of Vietnamese cultural heritage into a daily accessory for the youth. By integrating symbols like the Nón Lá and rice plants into modern tote bags, the project makes patriotism a part of the modern lifestyle.

Entrepreneurship

Project's inspiration
National Day on September 2nd is a momentous occasion that evokes a sense of unity and pride in Vietnam’s history. However, in daily life—especially among the youth—patriotism is often confined to formal ceremonies. I wanted to make that spirit more relatable and practical through a familiar, everyday item: the tote bag.
By blending imagery, colors, and quotes associated with Independence Day, this project creates more than just an eco-friendly product; it spreads a meaningful message. This is the core of the project: integrating national pride into daily life, so that each tote bag becomes a wearable reminder of one’s love for the country that raised them.

Social impact
Threads of Freedom transcends a simple commercial venture, creating a meaningful social impact through a sustainable 'give-back' model. Within four months, the initiative successfully distributed over 200 products, generating a profit of 20 million VND. These funds were fully transformed into educational resources, specifically for building a library and providing books for underprivileged children in remote regions. By blending cultural pride with direct community support—including gifting products to the elderly and students in need—the project fosters both national spirit and long-term educational growth.
